The International Student Guide to American Colleges eBook Pallas Snider
I was thinking that there must be a book explaining the admissions process specifically for International Students given that the challenges they face are quite different then domestic students given that many of them cannot receive government aid. I wish I had read this book when I was applying for undergrad. I believe this is the only book of its kind. If you find another one please let me know. 3 things I loved about the book:1. provides framework on comparing universities- location, financial aid to international students, prestige, selectivity, etc.
2. summaries of top US universities & colleges along these criteria. I did not know that there are so many universities & colleges that provide excellent & best fin. aid to int. students
3. written in a simple language; so, I finished it in 2 days.

The International Student Guide to American Colleges eBook Pallas Snider Reviews
Not only is this book an invaluable guide to helping international students find the "right" college for their particular needs, abilities, interests, and future growth, but this book is also surprisingly useful for high school students within the US. There is so much college advice out there, but most of it is repetitive and doesn't address the aspects of college that will REALLY matter when you get there. Snider shows an understanding of what factors are truly important in putting together an appropriate college list that will ultimately result in happy college matches. When you finish, you'll not only know how to find the right college, but you'll have a much better idea of where to apply and how to get in.
Especially for the price, every college-bound high school student (freshman to senior) should use this book!
I read this book enthusiastically, but was somewhat disappointed for not having found my favorite University, the Walden University.
Very comprehensive
